27.3. Using ADO

ADO is based on the Component Object Model (COM) which provides objects that are available from a wide range of programming languages including Visual Basic, Visual Basic for Applications (VBA), Visual J++, VBScript, and JavaScript applications. ADO can also be quite useful in server or middle-tier applications, particularly when used with Microsoft's Active Server Pages (ASP).

For providing example, we are using the example code from VC++ and VB Script in ASP.
