BXML EDITOR

Plugin Description

The BXML Editor is designed to provide integration when developing Backbase powered web applications using DreamWeaver 8/MX 2004.

Code Completion and Quick Tag Editor

HTML/ BXML tags

HTML/ BXML attributes

BXML tags which can be applied on HTML tags

Certain (boolean, enumerated) values

For example, horizontal or vertical value in: <b:slider orientation="horizontal | vertical]" ></b:slider> .

Code Assistance

When available, description for all tags, attributes and values

BXML related descriptions for some HTML tags

For example: the <form> tag.

Tags with src attribute have a browse to file and drag file option.

Backbase Menu

Create new BXML startup files:

In the File menu, select Backbase > New BXML startup file.

Create new BXML include files:

In the File menu, select Backbase > New BXML include file.

BXML Preferences

In the Edit menu, select Preferences > CodeColoring.

Select the Document Type for example XML, and click Edit Coloring Scheme

Change the settings for BXML tags S and BXML tags B.

In the Edit menu, select Preferences > CodeHints.

In the Tag Library Editor, expand the BXML tags S and BXML tags B group, and change the settings for each BXML tag.

Installation

Start the dreamweaver_plugin.mxp installation file
Alternatively, use the Macromedia Extension Manager to install the BXML Editor Extension.

Run BXML Editor

Once installed, the extension runs in Code View.

Known Issues

Outline window is not functional.
