Windows menu
Select a predefined "factory" or custom workspace from the list. Workspaces are arrangements
of windows and panels, plus other interface options. See
Workspaces.
The predefined workspaces include the default
, as well as several others designed for various groups of tasks.
In addition, the following options are available:
- / discards any changes you have made to the current workspace. Predefined workspaces
are restored to their default configuration, and custom workspaces are restored to
the last saved configuration.
- saves the current configuration as a new custom workspace. If you specify the name
of an existing custom workspace, the old configuration is overwritten.
- lets you import one or more custom workspace definition files.
- removes the current custom workspace from your preferences. You cannot delete predefined
workspaces.
- prevents docking and undocking of windows and panels. It does not prevent other changes
to workspaces, such as opening, closing, or moving windows, collapsing panels, and
so on.

The items in this submenu control the visibility of various user panels and elements
in the interface, including the Status Line, the Shelf, the Time Slider, and so on.
Options in this submenu are:
- — Hide all UI parts so only the panels and menus are visible.
- — Show all UI parts.
- — Restores the visibility of UI parts to their state before you selected Hide All
UI Elements. If certain parts were hidden before you selected
, they will still be hidden.
