Work with Bifröst Kill Volume and Clipping input meshes
You can use a polygon object as an input mesh for setting boundaries around areas
of a Bifröst simulation. Use input meshes to:
Add a or
mesh
- Display the appropriate tab in the
:
- The main properties to use a
to restrict emission.
- The shape to clip the display, mesh, or
.
- In the
menu, select
, and then turn off
.
This turns off Maya's default behavior of loading attributes for selected objects.
The current attributes will now remain loaded in the Attribute Editor when you select
and position the polygon object.
NOTE:Alternatively, you can select
at the bottom of the
to create a copy of the Bifröst object's attributes in a floating window.
- Select and position the polygon object.
- In the or
attribute group, click
.
TIP:After adding the input mesh, you can turn off the mesh's shading so it does not block
your view of the simulation. To do this, in the polygon object's shape node, expand
the
attribute group, turn on
, and then turn off
.
- (Optional) Turn on
to return Maya to the default behavior.
Remove a or
mesh
- Display the appropriate tab in the
.
- In the
menu, select
and then turn off
.
- Press
+
to deselect all objects, and then in the or
attribute group of the Bifröst object's
, click
.
- (Optional) Turn on
to return Maya to the default behavior.
