For running MSWindows applications under GNU/Linux see Wine (Section 56.1) and Citrix (Section 56.2). Wine provides an implementation of many of the MSWindows libraries so that MSWindows applications can run diretly under GNU/Linux. Citrix uses the Windows Terminal Server to access a Windows machine and display the desktop within a window on the GNU/Linux desktop.
