A separate open source project named SilkPage has arisen to further develop the ideas and code in DocBook Website. The SilkPage project is based on DocBook Website and adds these features:
Adds XML based content management.
Generates Web Standards (WaSP) compliant XHTML output.
Conforms to main accessibility requirements.
Separates content from presentation via CSS stylesheets.
Integrates RSS and RDF.
