deregdocs Command–Deregister Files

Permission required: System administrator.

The deregdocs utility deregisters files in bulk from an Ingres Web Deployment Option business unit, without having to use Visual DBA. With this utility, you can build scripts to aid in the maintenance of an Ingres Web Deployment Option web site.

The deregdocs command has the following format:

deregdocs –uunitname –llocation filename|-ilistfile -help

• -uunitname

  Specifies the name of the business unit to which the files belong.

• -llocation

  Specifies the name of the location of the files within the business unit. (A business unit can have more than one location associated with it.)

• -filenames

  Specifies one or more files that you want to deregister. Alternatively, you can use the –i flag to specify file names.

• -ilistfile

  Specifies the name of the file that contains the list of files (pages and facets) to be removed from the business unit. This parameter saves typing time and input errors.

• -help

  Displays command syntax online.
