Installing Celtix Advanced Service Engine Using Console Mode

Overview

The installer's console mode is ideally suited for situations where you want to have control over what is installed on your machine, but cannot launch a Java GUI. In console mode, you are presented with the same options as in GUI mode.

Running the installer

To install Celtix Advanced Service Engine using console mode do the following:

Start the installer by entering the following command:

                
                  sh celtix-1.1-service-engine-GenericUnix -i console

Press Enter to move past the introductory material.
Read the license agreement.

To accept the license agreement enter Y.

	Note
	Entering `N` indicates that you do not accept the agreement and exits the installer.

Press Enter.
Enter the top-level directory for your installation. See Table 2.2, “Default Installation Directory” for a list of the default locations.

Select one of the JDKs from the list and press Enter.

	Note
	If you select `Choose a Java VM already installed on this machine` you will be asked to enter the full pathname of the Java VM executable file.

Check the installation summary.

If the summary is correct, press Enter.

	Tip
	You can type `back` to step backwards through the installer if the summary is not correct.

Choose if you would like to create a properties file.

The properties file can be used to perform identical installations on other machines. It is most useful when doing silent installs. See Installing Celtix Advanced Service Engine in Silent Mode.
If you choose to save the installer properties, enter a name for the properties file.
Press Enter to exit the installer.
