The Outbound Router

Outbound routers are the component of the router that interacts with service providers. The service provider sees the outbound router as a service consumer. It sends requests and consumes the responses.

The outbound router is responsible for implementing the advanced features used by a route. In the simplest routes, the outbound router also simply passes the message data back to the Celtix Advanced Service Engine's messaging components. When using the advanced features of the router, such as fail-over routing or content-based routing, the outbound router component is where the functionality is implemented. The outbound router determines which of its endpoints is the target endpoint for the message data.
