open-ftp-stream

Arguments: file &key (host "localhost") (user "anonymous") (password (format nil "[email protected]" (system:user-name))) (direction :input) debug (mode :binary) passive

This function creates a stream to/from the given file on the given host using the given user and password for authentication.

The keyword arguments are:

• host: name of remote host.
• user: name of user to log in as.
• password: password to use.
• direction: :input (the default), :output, or :directory. :directory returns an input stream containing a directory listing.
• debug: if a stream (or t) is given, this function will print the ftp interaction to that stream.
• mode: :binary (the default), or :text. :text mode lines end with cr-lf (the internet standard).
• passive: if t then do a passive mode transfer (useful to get through certain ip filters and firewalls).
