Restoring with Backup Tools from Other Providers 

You can interactively restore using the Recovery Wizard. The Recovery Wizard supports the use of backup tools from other providers.

Prerequisites

Connecting Backup Tools from Other Providers

The database instance is in the ADMIN operational state.

Procedure

Start the recovery from the Recovery Wizard. The Recovery Wizard displays the external backup IDs for the user to check, and uses these during the restore operation. The user does not need to explicitly determine or specify the external backup IDs.

The number of data carriers in a group of parallel data carriers must be the same as the number of data carriers that was used for the creation of the backup.
