Special Configure Options

There are several configure options that modify the behavior of the ch_p4 device. These include

{ --enable-lazy-gethostbyname}

Use a more scalable approach in initializing connections. This may cause the first message to a process to take longer than otherwise.

{ --enable-threaded-listener}

Use a separate thread rather than a separate process for the listener that is used to initiate connections.
