IMPORTANT: This "single-click" installation is meant to provide you an easy way to get a hands-on impression of OLAT and it's new features. Please note that the preconfigured setup has not thoroughly been tested; specifically with regard to the embedded HSQLDB (Database) used by this installation. This installation comes pre-packaged with the following software components.

If you intend to use OLAT in a production environment, please refer to the source distribution. It will give the necessary configuration options to setup OLAT for your specific environment.
Download and unzip the Demo-Installer:
Windows: Double-click on setup.exe to install the preconfigured OLAT on your harddrive. After the installation finished, double-click the newly created OLAT icon on your desktop or run "runOlat.bat".
MacOSX or Linux: Double-click on OLAT-install.jar to install the preconfigured OLAT on your harddrive. If this does not work, open a shell, change to the directory where you've unzipped the Demo-Installer package and run the setup.sh script to start up OLAT. After the installation you need to start a shell and run the runOlat.sh script. On a Mac you need to type:
cd /Applications/OLAT ./runOlat.sh
On Linux you can double-click the new created desktop icon or open an shell and type
cd $PATH_TO_YOUR_INSTALLATION ./runOlat.sh
Now start your webbrowser and launch the following URL:
http://localhost:8080/olat/
You may now log in to your local OLAT installation. Use any of the predefined accounts listed below (username/password):
administrator / olat
author / test
learner / test
test/ test
test2 / test
test3 / test
Please change the passwords of the predefined user accounts or remove the users completely after your first login.
