maxdb_get_server_version -- maxdb->server_versionReturns the version of the MaxDB server as an integer

Description

Procedural style

int maxdb_get_server_version ( resource $link )

Object oriented style

maxdb
int $server_version;

The maxdb_get_server_version() function returns the version of the server connected to (represented by the link parameter) as an integer.

The form of this version number is main_version * 10000 + minor_version * 100 + sub_version (i.e. version 7.5.0 is 70500).

Return Values

An integer representing the server version.

Example #1 Object oriented style

$maxdb 
= new maxdb("localhost""MONA""RED""DEMODB");

/* check connection */
if (maxdb_connect_errno()) {
   
printf("Connect failed: %s\n"maxdb_connect_error());
   exit();
}

/* print server version */
printf("Server version: %d\n"$maxdb->server_version);

/* close connection */
$maxdb->close();

Example #2 Procedural style

The above example will output something similar to:

Server version: 7<...>
