Running the Application in the Emulator

  1. Right-click HelloWorld in the Project Explorer view.

  2. Select Run As > Run Symbian OS Application.

  3. Select the HelloWorld .exe file to launch the application in the emulator and click Next.

    Note:

    If you select Emulator as the process to launch, you have to open the application separately in the emulator.

  4. Click Finish to launch HelloWorld in the emulator.

  5. The emulator opens.

  6. The HelloWorld application is open in the emulator. You can test the features of your application by selecting Options.

Note:

When you close the HelloWorld application, the emulator also closes.

To open applications in the emulator

If you launch the emulator process, the HelloWorld application does not start automatically. You can start it from the menu as follows:
  1. Select Menu .

  2. Open the Applications folder.

  3. Select the HelloWorld application.

To close the emulator

  • Select File > Exit in the emulator menu.

  • Select Close in the upper right corner of the emulator.
