Short Link Services Guide

The Short Link Services module enables licensees to implement Bluetooth, USB, Infrared and OBEX on Symbian platform devices.

• Bluetooth Collection
  The Bluetooth collection contains the SDP, GAVDP and Notifiers Support components.
• Bluetooth Comms Profiles Collection
  The Bluetooth Comms Profiles collection provides implementations of Bluetooth Profiles. Currently it provides an implementation of the Bluetooth PAN profile.
• Bluetooth Management Collection
  The Bluetooth Management collection contains the Bluetooth Manager and Bluetooth Client components.
• Host Controller Interface Collection
  The Host Controller Interface collection provides the conceptual layer that connects the Symbian platform Bluetooth stack to Bluetooth hardware (Bluetooth Controller and Bluetooth chipset).

  The Short Link CSYs collection contains the Bluetooth CSY component.
• Short Link Protocol Plugins Collection
  The Short Link Protocol Plugins collection contains the Bluetooth Stack and IrDA Stack components.

  The Short Link LDDs collection contains the USB Client Driver, USB Host and OTG Drivers, and USB Host and OTG Stack components.
• USB Function Drivers Collection
  The USB Function Drivers collection contains the Mass Storage Function Driver component.
• USB Management Collection
  The USB Management collection contains the USB Manager component.
• USB Hardware Adaptation Collection
  The USB Hardware Adaptation collection contains the OMAP USB Host Controller component.
• USB RNDIS
  USB Remote Network Driver Interface Specification (RNDIS) provides IP connectivity over USB.
• Bluetooth Application Profiles Collection
  The Bluetooth Application Profiles collection contains the Remote Control Profile component.
• Bluetooth PBAP
  Bluetooth PBAP supports exchanging Phone Book objects, particularly for where a Car-Kit retrieves Phone Book objects from a mobile device.

  The Symbian implementation of Obex works over IrDA, Bluetooth and USB.
