Limitations

Symbian C++ supports only the following ioctl() commands:
  • SIOCGIFCONF
  • SIOCGIFACTIVECONF
  • SIOCSIFNAME
  • SIOCGIFINDEX
  • SIOCIFACTIVESTART
  • SIOCIFSTOP
  • SIOCATMARK
  • SIOCGIFADDR:Get interface address.
  • SIOCGIFNUM:Get the number of interfaces.

NOTE : Sockios.h lists ioctl() operations for sockets. UNIX domain sockets are not supported. The user has to connect to some server to get the interface address as it is dynamically assigned.
