FAQ-0242 Why doesn't my app appear on the extras bar on the ER5 emulator?

Question:
I have built an app successfully and checked that all the components have been successfully installed into the folders they should be for it to be recognized by the emulator. But it does not appear on the Extras bar. What could be wrong?

Answer:
Check that none of the standard apps on the apps bar (in particular Contacts) have drifted onto the Extras bar, as sometimes happens with the ER5 emulator. If one has, you may find that your app has taken its place, in which case it can be launched by clicking on that app's icon. You can of course then force your app onto the Extras bar using the "Extras bar" dialog in Control Panel.
