Question:
I have an application installed on a 9210 that sends a Datagram to the loopback IP address 127.0.0.1. Why does the system display a dial up dialog when no dial up is necessary.

Answer:
The is a limitation of the implementation. The system recognises the address as an IP address and assumes an internet connection is required. If the user dismisses the dial up dialog the system will proceed using the loopback address correctly.
