Optional packages

This document lists the JSRs implemented by Symbian, and the Symbian OS version in which they were introduced.

Note that Symbian OS licensees may replace or modify these implementations. For the JSR specifications, see http://www.jcp.org/en/jsr/all.

• JSR 118: Mobile Information Device Profile 2.0 — v7.0s.

• JSR 82: Java™ APIs for Bluetooth — v7.0s (Bluetooth Push was added in v8.0).

• JSR 120: Wireless Messaging API — v7.0s.

• JSR 185: Java Technology For The Wireless Industry (JTWI) — v7.0s (this was developed for v8.0, but was backported to v7.0s).

• JSR 139: CLDC 1.1 — v8.0.

• JSR 75: FileConnection Optional Package — v8.0.

• JSR 135: Mobile Media API — v8.0.

• JSR 75: PIM Optional Package — v8.1.

• JSR 184: Mobile 3D Graphics API — v8.1.
