The following documentation manuals are available:

How to Get Started on a New SGML-based Manual is an example SGML document for Debian. This example can be used as a starting point for people wanting to write a new manual for Debian. It includes an example SGML source code for a manual as well as some shell scripts and make scripts to generate the different output formats.

The Documentation Guidelines is the "Policy Manual" for Debian documentation.

The Debiandoc-SGML Markup Manual describes how to use the SGML markup commands of the Debiandoc-SGML package.
