 1. Install the WebHCat Package

On the WebHCat server machine, install the necessary RPMs or packages.

  • For RHEL/CentOS/Oracle Linux:

    yum install hive-hcatalog hive-webhcat pig

  • For SLES:

    zypper install hive-hcatalog hive-webhcat pig

  • For Ubuntu:

    apt-get install hive-hcatalog hive-webhcat pig
