Returns a short description for the renderers which this factory creates.

Returns:

createRenderer

public DataValueRenderer createRenderer(DataColumnSpec colSpec)

Creates a new renderer instance. If the renderer does not use the data column spec the renderer may be implemented as a singleton and the same instance may be returned upon each call. Note that the renderer must be thread-safe in such cases.

Parameters:

colSpec - the spec for the column for which this renderer is going to be used

Returns:

a data value renderer
