The XCONS (database
console) database tool
shows the operating system resources utilized by the database system, how
database sessions have been allocated to threads, and the status of active
database sessions.
We recommend that you only use XCONS in production systems if you have a sound knowledge of databases and operating systems.
XCONS is a command
line tool and can be used on all operating systems
supported by the database system.
XCONS is part of
the MaxDB software package, which you can download from the MaxDB Website (see
Download
and
Installation
Profiles).
For further
information about the database system, see the documentation Concepts of the
Database System and the
Glossary.
You can also call up XCONS via the Database Manager CLI or via the database console of CCMS (in SAP systems).
You can use XCONS to display information about the database instance.
The Database Analyzer database tool uses XCONS.
