Welcome to NetKernel

NetKernel is different from other software systems you may have used. It employs an approach called resource oriented computing which allows you to create software at a logical level to processes information with great flexibility and, often, without having to touch the physical level of APIs and objects.

At the logical level information resources are flexible and easy to work with. For example if you are working with an Image resource you can rotate, crop and re-dimension it with simple requests to logically addressed services.

To get started with NetKernel and resource oriented computing we offer two introductory paths. Choose Code first if you are a developer and want to start from physical code and work your way up to the logical level. Choose Concepts First if you are an architect or an analyst and you want to learn about the logical level and the concepts behind resource oriented computing and logical software composition.

Whichever path, once you learn NetKernel you will be able to create sophisticated software systems that are less complex, more flexible and more maintainable. As a bonus, they will generally run a lot faster too.

Let's get started ...
