Determine the configuration that meets your needs and use any of the Solaris installation methods to install the master system.

  • Customize or reconfigure the archive

  • Protect local changes on clone systems

Create the Solaris Flash archive

Use the flarcreate command to create an archive.

(Optional) Save a copy of the archive

Keep a copy of the archive for future comparison to update a clone system with a differential archive.

  1. Mount the unchanged master image.

  2. Use the flarcreate command to compare the two images and create the differential archive.
