The following are the major bug fixes and workarounds released as part of RHN Satellite Server 5.1.1.
A new --act-native or -n option for up2date
on Solaris has been added, which forces the Solaris package management backend to upgrade packages to their most updated versions, regardless of the size or number of dependencies included in the upgrade.
Kickstart URLs are stored as file paths, allowing Satellite to determine when to dynamically adjust the hostname rendered in the kickstart file. You may customize this value by changing the path to a fully qualified URL, which will appear in the kickstart file as it is entered in the Create Kickstart Profile screen.
An issue has been addressed that prevented Monitoring on RHN Proxy for i386, s390, and s390x from functioning properly when registered to an RHN Satellite on x86_64.
