Red Hat Database requires Red Hat Linux 7.1 or greater. If you do not already have Red Hat Linux 7.1 installed, install the copy of Red Hat Linux contained in the Red Hat Database box before continuing with the Red Hat Database installation.
Red Hat Linux recommends that you use the default options when installing Red Hat Linux 7.1, including partitioning scheme and default package selection. Do not install the SQL server packages when installing Red Hat Linux 7.1. That is, no PostgreSQL related RPMs should be installed as a part of the Red Hat Linux installation process.
