Question:
Some devices impose a limit on the size of a MIDlet jar file that can be downloaded onto the device. Does Symbian OS impose any limits on MIDlet size?

Answer:
Symbian OS places no limits on the size of MIDlet jar files, the heap space they use or the amount of persistent RMS data they store. Any restrictions on Symbian OS phones are as a result of hardware constraints or policies introduced by Symbian OS licensees. Note however that some WAP gateways imposes a limit on the size of (jar) file which can be downloaded over the air.
