Question:
How do I connect Symbian OS v6.0 for Crystal / WINS to NT RAS ?

Answer:
Firstly, if you have not done so already you must set up NT RAS. For tips on NT RAS installation see FAQ 0436,
or section 5. NT RAS Communication Settings of the following document.

Secondly take a copy of your current Cdbv2.dat file which is located under epoc32\wins\c\system\data
(if you wish to undo this procedure), and replace this with the following file.

This file already contains a suitable setup for RAS, however an important note here is that this Cdbv2.dat file
will expect you to have an NT RAS user account as follows :

username = RasUser
password = pass

You can either create this new account (preferred) or use t_editdb.exe to modify the current username and password
within Cdbv2.dat.

Finally add the following .tsy file under epoc32\release\wins\udeb and you are ready to access NT RAS from the emulator.

If you should have problems accessing NT RAS, ensure that NT RAS is running and that any applications accessing
COM ports such as Symbian OS Connect are closed, and re-launch the emulator.
