Question:
I wish to implement "answering machine" type functionality on a Symbian OS phone - ie. programatically answer calls and replay a message, followed by recording the GSM audio stream so callers can leave messages.
Is this possible?

Answer:
This is possible in principle, but whether it is possible in practice depends on the particular phone in question. It is possible on Nokia 9200 series Communicators and on the Nokia 7650; but not on the Sony Ericsson P800.
