JAR download

The Symbian OS Installer opens a HTTP connection using the URL within the JAD file as given by the MIDlet-Jar-URL attribute. This may involve the opening of a new connection if the Symbian OS phone is not already connected (standard dialogs are displayed here to establish a connection).

As the JAR is downloaded the progress is displayed with the option to cancel the installation:

If the server requires user authentication, a Authentication request dialog is displayed. The dialog requires users to provide a Username and Password.
