Android Remote
Android Remote is a software application that makes your Android device act as a remote control for your project in Unity. This is useful for rapid development when you don't want to compile and deploy your project to device for each change and prefer to use the Editor Game window instead.
How to use Android remote?
Please follow these steps to successfully use Android Remote.
- Make sure you have the latest Android SDK installed. It is required to set-up port forwarding for your Android device.
- Connect Android device to your computer with USB cable.
- Launch Android Remote application in device.
- Hit "Play" in Unity editor. At this point you will be able to send accelerometer and touch input events from device to editor and receive stream of compressed screenshots from editor to device.
- When done, stop game in editor and Android Remote application will get back to it's primary screen.
