The OpenDarwin-20030213 Binary Release is now available. This release is intended to fix many of the significant deficiencies in Darwin 6.0.2, as well as provide a more stable platform for future Darwin development. It is available for both PowerPC and x86 architectures from:

Features:
- Recompiled with gcc3-1208 from Apple to fix x86 ABI issues
- System daemons no longer crash on launch

Known bugs:
- perl is not present awaiting integration of perl 5.8.
In the interim, perl5.8 is available via DarwinPorts. - XFree86 on x86 has an inverted colormap, making it difficult to use.
Hardware Support:
- This release should support at least as much as Darwin 6.0.2
- There is untested support for Old World G3 machines
In general, this release is based on the same source as Darwin 6.0.2, and does not include local modifications from OpenDarwin CVS. Future releases will take advantage of these modifications.
