Question:
How can I speed up the Series 60 emulator?

Answer:
You should be able to use the same technique as described in FAQ-0713 for the Nokia 9210 emulator. The comments about LindaStart.dll of course do not apply.

If you are not seeking to connect the emulator session with a phone over a comm port, you can rename the file watcher.dll in \epoc32\release\wins\udeb. This will further speed up the emulator start-up, saving you from having to wait for the watcher to time out in its search for a connection to a phone.
