Question:
How can I speed up the UIQ emulator for CodeWarrior?

Answer:
You should be able to use the same technique as described in FAQ-0713 for the Nokia 9210 emulator. The comments about LindaStart.dll of course do not apply.

If your UIQ SDK is a CodeWarrior build, the emulator binaries will however be located under winscw, rather than wins as for the Nokia 9210 emulator. You should therefore use the following edited versions of the files EMFast.bat and DLLList.pl to rebase the DLLs.

If you are not seeking to connect the emulator session with a phone over a comm port, you can rename the file watcher.dll in \epoc32\release\winscw\udeb. This will further speed up the emulator start-up, saving you from having to wait for the watcher to time out in its search for a connection to a phone.
