In this section you will see the different communication services integrated in Zentyal, which enable centralized management of an organization’s communications and allow users to work with them all using the same password.

First the e-mail service is described, which allows quick and easy integration with the users’ email clients, offering services for the prevention of spam and viruses.

Then the corporate instant messaging service, using the standard Jabber/XMPP. It provides an internal IM service without having to rely on external companies or an Internet connection and ensures that conversations will be kept confidential, preventing the data passing through the hands of third parties. This service provides conference rooms and allows, through the use of any of the many clients available, to have synchronous written communication in the organization, better adapted to certain cases in which the email is not enough.

Finally, you will see an introduction to voice over IP (or VoIP), which enables each user to have an extension to easily make calls or participate in conferences. Additionally, through an external provider, Zentyal can be configured to connect to the traditional telephone network and make phone calls to any country in the world at very reduced rates.
