Compiere Update Installation

Requirements

• Installed Oracle Database
• Installed Java 1.4.1
• Installed Compiere Server
• Installed Compiere Client

Update the Compiere Executables

Updates do not overwrite installation specific configuration files like myEnvironment, server.xml, etc. If you want to get a fresh copy, please delete the directories.

Windows

• Download and extract Compiere-244b.zip
• If there is an update available, please apply it now

Linux/Unix

• Download and extract Compiere-244b.tar.gz
• If there is an update available, please apply it now

Update the Compiere Database

Migrating the database to a new version is required due to data schema changes. You need to expect errors, if you run an executable of a different/newer version with an 'old' database.

• Database migration services is part of the support contract.
• Otherwise, execute the script RUN_ImportCompiere in the $COMPIERE_HOME/utils directory to get the latest seed database (see Install Database)
