The canvas' context menu includes an menu that can be
used to add new patterns to a route. The advantage of using the
is that it filters the available options. It only presents
you with patterns that can follow the selected pattern. For example, if you have a
Choice pattern selected on your route, the menu
will only include and
because they are the only patterns that can follow a Choice.

To add a pattern to a route:
Select the pattern in the route that you want the new pattern to follow.
Open the context menu.
Select .
You will be presented with a list of the patterns that can be added at the selected location in the route. The patterns will be grouped using the same categories as in the pallet.
From the list of available patterns, select the pattern to add to the route.
The new pattern is added to the route and automatically linked to the originally selected pattern. The new pattern becomes the currently selected pattern and the property editor is set up so that you can configure the new pattern.
