Updating Minishift

Overview

This section describes how you can update the Minishift binary.

Updating Minishift

Update the Minishift binary as follows:

$ minishift update

This command checks whether there is a newer version of Minishift available. If so, it prompts user to confirm the update, downloads the new binary and replaces the current version of Minishift.

We recommend running minishift delete before running the update command to avoid backward compatibility issues.

minishift update will only work for versions 1.5.0 and above (>=v1.5.0).
