The following information reflects what is new in the edX Platform as of 5 March 2015.

Analytics

  • Data packages now include the following events. For more information, see the Events in the Tracking Logs chapter in the edX Research Guide.
    • Events that record when learners view the contents of a Google Calendar or Google Drive component in the LMS.
    • Events that record new posts, responses, and comments in course discussions.

LMS

  • Course teams can now include Google Drive files and calendars in courseware.
  • Several accessibility improvements have made navigating course content easier for screen readers.

Open EdX

The Open edX portal has launched! The portal offers the Open edX community a one-stop destination for all publicly available edX content, from blogs and webinars to technical documentation and our product features roadmap. We hope you’ll check it out!

All users can view content on the Open edX portal. Members of the edX Partners community can access additional content on the edX Partner portal.

Studio

Course teams can now include Google Drive files and calendars in courseware by creating a link to the file or calendar in Studio. For more information, see Google Drive Files Tool and Google Calendar Tool.
