The following information describes what is new in the edX mobile apps.
Discussion posts are now identified as having been read when you interact with a post in the edX mobile app. Previously, interactions such as adding a response or comment to a post, or answering a question or marking a question as answered, caused the post to be identified as unread. (MA-2139)

Version 2.6 of the edX app for iOS is now available. This version of the mobile app allows learners to browse edX courses without creating an edX account and without logging in. Learners can register for an edX account or sign in from the about page for any course. Other improvements in this version include accessibility fixes to the video player.

Version 2.5.1 of the edX app for the Android platform and version 2.5.0 of the edX app for the iOS platform are now available. These versions add video player improvements as well as discussion features, such as the ability to access discussion topics in the body of the course and view discussions in landscape mode.

Version 2.3.0 of the edX app for both the iOS and Android platforms is now available. This version adds the ability for learners to participate in course discussions in the mobile app, and also introduces course search.

New versions of the edX mobile apps for iOS and Android have been released. Both apps now include user profiles.
The number of days before OAuth tokens expire for mobile OAuth clients can now be configured. For more information, see Configure OAuth Token Expiration in the Installing, Configuring, and Running the Open edX Platform guide.
The latest version of the edX app (version 2.0.0) for Android smartphones is now available. Learners who access edX courses using Android phones will now have a more complete course experience. They can now use the app to view HTML and text components, and complete assignments that consist of the basic assessment types (checkbox, dropdown, multiple choice, and text or numerical input).

In the edX mobile app, new visitors can now use a Google or Facebook account to sign up for an edX account. These sign up options are available now in the edX mobile app for Android smartphones, and will be available soon for iPhones.

The tracking logs in daily data packages now include additional events for actions completed using the edX mobile app.
play_video, pause_video,
stop_video, load_video, and seek_video events.seek_video events in addition to

The edX mobile app is now available for iPhone and Android smartphones. With the app, learners can view or download video lectures for your courses and watch them anytime, without an Internet connection. Many of the courses that are currently running on edx.org are ready for use with the app, and preparations to support mobile delivery are in progress for even more courses.

The tracking logs in daily data packages now include events for learners who
use the edX mobile app to view course videos. The edX mobile app began to emit
the play_video, pause_video, stop_video, load_video,
hide_transcript, and show_transcript events on December 23, 2014. For
