The following information reflects what is new in the edX Platform as of 11 March 2015.

Analytics

The tracking logs in daily data packages now include additional events for actions completed using the edX mobile app.

  • The edX mobile app for iOS now emits play_video, pause_video, stop_video, load_video, and seek_video events.
  • The edX mobile app for Android now emits seek_video events in addition to other video interaction events.

The Events in the Tracking Logs chapter now contains descriptions of these events.

  • New events for contributions to discussion forums.
  • New events for the opening of Google calendars and documents to the Tracking Logs chapter.

Using edX Insights

Added the Student Performance section to the Using edX Insights guide.

Insights

In edX Insights, course teams can now review how students are answering graded problems. You can use the performance charts and reports to assess problem difficulty, identify common mistakes and misconceptions, and verify that your problems are clearly stated and complete.

LMS

Accessibility Improvements

  • The main region in the Student dashboard now includes the role and aria- label attributes. (TNL-1567)
  • Navigation controls in the LMS now have aria-label attributes. (TNL-1554)

Mobile

Studio

Accessibility Improvements

  • The Schedule & Details, Group Configurations, Advanced Settings, and Grading pages now include aria-label attributes. (TNL-1532)
  • All navigation elements in Studio now have aria-label attributes. The aria-label attributes give these elements accessible labels, which make navigation regions easier to identify and navigate to. (TNL-1531, TNL-1520, TNL-1523)

XBlocks

A new XBlock service allows XBlocks to access Django settings. (OSPR-419, OSPR-427)
