The following information summarizes what is new in the edX platform this week.
The edX engineering wiki Release Pages provide detailed information about
every change made to the edx-platform GitHub repository. If you are interested
in additional information about every change in a release, create a user
account for the wiki and review the dated release pages.
- For instructor-paced courses that have ended, “Proctored Option available”
continued to be visible to learners in the left pane. This problem has been
resolved. (SOL-1702)
- Timed exams were sometimes submitted early if the allotted time for the exam
exceeded 24 hours. This problem has been resolved. (TNL-4216)
- The Underscore.js JavaScript library has been upgraded to version 1.8.3.
- A problem that caused a View Certificate button to be visible on the
Progress page for learners in the audit track for some courses has been
resolved. (ECOM-3345)
- The separate sign in and registration pages have been removed from the
edx-platform repository. The edx-platform repository now contains only
the combined sign in and registration page. (ECOM-2946)
- The JavaScript library Underscore.js has been upgraded to version 1.8.3.
New versions of the edX mobile apps for iOS and Android have been released.
Both apps now include user profiles.
- The edX website now includes an All Subjects page, where learners can see
all subjects that edX courses cover as well as the available courses in those
subjects. The website also now offers breadcrumb navigation, allowing
learners to move more easily around the site and enabling marketers to
capture SEO value. (SWAT-130 and SWAT-57)
- For instructor biographies, the Organization and Title fields are now
optional. (SWAT-180)

Building and Running an Open edX Course
- The Managing the Pages in Your Course topic in the Building
and Running an Open edX Course guide now includes information about how to
hide the course Progress page.
- The Adjust Grades for One or All Learners section in the Building and Running
an Open edX Course guide has been updated. This section now also includes
information about how to update grades for open response assessment (ORA)
problems.
